CISL 10th Anniversary Tournament

The CISL 10th Anniversary Christmas Cup, was a seven team, double-knockout format tournament which was held on December 19th, 2014 at Player’s Paradise:

Bye: Holivud Hrvat

Second Round
Vatreni 2, Jadran Braco United 1 (JBU is eliminated)
Holivud Hrvat 0, Drinkec 0 (Holivud wins on penalties)
Kontra 0, NK ZAP 0 (Kontra wins on penalties)

Third Round
Poskoci 1, NK ZAP 0 (ZAP is eliminated)
Vatreni 1, Drinkec 1 (Vatreni wins on penalties, Drinkec is eliminated)

Semifinals
Kontra 2, Holivud Hrvat 1 *
Poskoci 1, Vatreni 0

Final
Poskoci 3, Kontra 1

J.J. Grubisic — I would like to congratulate to the volunteers that helped make this tournament happen:

Thanks to all of the teams that participated (NK Bauštelac did not). The only club that can put a full-on Christmas tournament together with all of the players being members of the same club is Hamilton Croatia.

Nice to see some legends (Frank Sudac, Hamilton; and Mile Sesar, London, Windsor and Cleveland) making guest appearances on the field as well.

Lastly, it was great having other teams watching from the field level, as well as the support in the stands, notably NK ZAP’s fans. Hopefully we can make this Christmas Tournament an annual occurrence!
