It’s Tournament Weekend!!! We would like to wish all participating teams, the host organizers Kitchener Hrvat, the Savez and especially our boys representing us on Hamilton Croatia a very successful and safe 2016 tournament weekend. As always, fan support is encouraged to help push our team into the next round. We should take this time to announce that our Hamilton Croatia Men’s Team yet again won the H&D league title. Congratulations to all of the players, and special mention to coach Kruno Rimac and Steve Jalsevac on their dedication in what is at times a very thankless job. The team played as a unit the entire season and we hope they take this momentum and success into this weekend’s tournament. Hvala Kapetane! For those who haven’t heard, Darijo Srna has officially retired from international play with Croatia. With 134 registered caps and the fourth all-time leading goal scorer for Croatia, all any of us can say is Thank You Darijo for an exceptional career!

Luka na Äelu reprezentacije. It may not be a big surprise to many, but Luka Modric was named as Croatia’s next captain and is extremely proud and honoured to be given this opportunity. Wishing Luka and the NT all the best under his leadership!

The Best Cook-off Challenge Anywhere is Back!!! Calling all cooks (at all levels). Have you ever bragged that your Kotlovina was the best? Wished you could serve it to more people? Come put your masterpiece to the test in this friendly competition. To register as a cook in this year’s challenge, please contact Tommy Saic.We ask that all cooks confirm their place participation as a cook by Monday September 12 to allow for the appropriate setup on our end. New this year will be a “Pub Night” with live music set to begin at 8pm which will make for an amazing day well into the evening hours.

Annual Rep Soccer Banquet

A huge congratulations to all youth rep teams on a fantastic season. Players, coaches and our star athletes need to be commended on such a great season. The coaches, athletes and their families are looking forward to another wonderful night to celebrate such soccer success at this year’s Youth Rep Soccer Banquet held on Saturday, September 10, 5pm at GMR. Fall Park Day, Volunteers Needed Saturday, September 24, 2016 we will again come together at our park to properly close it for the winter season. Everyone’s help is greatly appreciated on this day as we truly need “all hands on deck” to get everything done in one day. If you are able to volunteer some time to help on this day, please notify Steven Radencich who is coordinating the tasks that day and needs to know in advance who he can rely on.

Super Sunday Picnic Review We would like to thank Ivan Rados for all of his hard work and dedication to making our house league once again one of the best in the city. His organized and passionate approach to the job resulted in another tremendously successful and fun year. Thank you, Ivan.
