(PERNS) – Hamilton Croatia congratulates all participants from the 2005 Croatian Junior Tournament for North America. All the teams played with class and showed true fairness on the pitch. Special applause goes to the champions from each group, St. Catherine’s U-16, Milwaukee U-15, Milwaukee U-10, and Hajduk Split U-12 who were by far the class of the tourney – if these kids stick with it, the future of Croatian soccer around the world looks bright.
The day went off without a hitch, and was only made possible because of all the volunteers who donated their valuable time in helping organize and run this event. Plenty of compliments and praise was given throughout the day, including this testimonial from Kreso Nuic – “To Mijo and Perns, the two hardest working men at the junior tourney. These guys were machines behind the grills in the burning sun, cooking up a storm to keep the players and guests full and happy. Good on you guys!”
Many thanks to the people who came out to support yet another club event and watch their kids, friends, and family members participate.
The 2006 host will probably not be confirmed until late this year, but wherever it is held, Hamilton Croatia will definitely be sending teams to represent. We recommend all Croatian youth clubs abroad attempt to send teams to keep this tournament running, as it is a great experience for children and parents to take part in.
