(PERNS) – Hamilton Croatia’s ice-hockey team HRV completed their dominance in the regular season finale last night with a 1-0 win over the Fanatics.
The HRV finished atop the Grimsby Recreational Hockey League’s B-Division with an 11-0-1 record earning 23 of a possible 24 total points.
Led by a veteran cast with the likes of Pete Vlasic patrolling the blue line and the youthfulness of star forwards Dave Stipancic and Danny Ribaric, the HRV will now prepare for this weekend’s upcoming playoff tournament.
The Playoffs are a round-robin style tourney, while the two teams sporting the best records meet in the Championship game this Sunday, March 27th at 4:30 p.m.
HRV action kicks off Saturday morning at 9 a.m. versus the Blackhawks. They come back to play game two against the Fanatics at 4:30 p.m.
All fans of hockey are encouraged to come out and cheer on the boys.
