The Croatian Sports and Community Centre of Hamilton, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization run by an executive commitee of volunteers selected by members annually. The organization was established to promote sports and other forms of Croatian culture for the benefit of all members, and more specifically, Croats in Southern Ontario.

Through athletics and culture, "Croatia Hamilton" has been doing this since 1957. We are a soccer club, an event hub, a meeting place, and a dinner destination — all this and more, wrapped up in one great community!

Our headquarters is located at 166 Green Mountain Road in Stoney Creek. The project to reconstruct the grounds at "GMR" began in 2008, just after the merger of two organizations — the Croatian National Sports Club of Hamilton and the Hamilton Croatian Centre.

Our mandate over the first couple of years included the installation of two new bocce courts, two youth-sized soccer fields, and interior and exterior upgrades to the cookhouse. Following the first phase of enhancements, a brand new children’s playground was installed, and two new sheds were built.

The overall rebuild culminated with our largest undertaking, the construction of a brand new community centre.

Since our first rental on Friday, April 25th, 2014, the centre has been occupied on a consistent basis. It is comprised of:

• 200 person banquet hall suitable for weddings, stags, showers, christenings, wakes and other family gatherings
  
• Full service restaurant with six large screen TVs, surround sound, lounge area and outdoor patio for daily use
  
• Covered pavilion overlooking picnic grounds, youth soccer fields and bocce courts
  
• Fully functional kitchen
  
• Multi-use conference rooms and offices
  
• Library/learning centre for culture and heritage
  
• Meeting facilities open to all Croatian organizations
  
• Large windows overlooking natural landscape
  
• Central location with plenty of free parking
  
• A venue to continue the traditions of Croatian music and folklore
  
• Ample room for future expansion
